Vivaldi – Winter from The Four Seasons, Op. 8 No. 4

About the course

This SHIVA arrangement brings the vivid atmosphere and dramatic energy of Vivaldi’s Winter from The Four Seasons to two violins, giving you the opportunity to experience this iconic music together. Feel the icy winds, biting chill and tense stillness of winter brought to life through crisp rhythms, expressive phrasing and energetic interplay between the two violins. Play it with your teacher, your student, or a friend. Rather than simply playing alongside each other, the two violin parts create a musical dialogue, encouraging you to listen, respond and shape the music together. Playing together also develops important musical skills such as listening, ensemble balance, articulation, phrasing and musical communication. You learn to react to another player, stay connected through dramatic contrasts and bring the character of the music to life as a team all important elements of chamber music. This arrangement is designed for intermediate to advanced violinists and works well for lessons, duo practice, recitals, chamber concerts and performances. We want to explore the music together with you — helping you understand its character, practise with greater awareness, listen more deeply and enjoy becoming a better musician. Play together. Listen together. Learn together. Enjoy the music.
