Christian Petzold Three Baroque Minuets from the Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach ARRANGED FOR TWO VIOLINS

About the course

This SHIVA collection brings together three charming Baroque minuets by Christian Petzold, beautifully arranged for two violins. Associated with the Notebook for Anna Magdalena Bach and once attributed to J.S. Bach, these elegant pieces offer a wonderful introduction to Baroque style through graceful phrasing, balanced musical structure and ensemble playing. Play them with your teacher, your student, or a friend. The two violin parts allow you to explore how melody, harmony and phrasing work together while developing one of the most important skills for every musician: listening. Each minuet also includes a SHIVA performance video, giving you the opportunity to hear the complete arrangement and experience how the two violin parts interact. Use the performances as inspiration, as a reference while learning the music, or simply to explore the character and style of each piece more deeply. With their elegant character and approachable musical language, these minuets are especially suitable for beginner to intermediate violinists and work beautifully for lessons, recitals, duo practice or simply enjoying music together.
