Accolay: Violin Concerto in A Minor

About the course

This SHIVA arrangement was created to make it possible to enjoy Accolay’s beautiful Violin Concerto in A Minor together — even when there is no pianist available. Play it with your teacher, your student, or a friend. While Violin 1 takes the solo part, Violin 2 provides the accompaniment and harmony, allowing you to experience the concerto as music made together rather than simply practising the solo part alone. Playing together also develops one of the most important skills for every musician: listening. You learn to respond to another player, feel the harmony, breathe together and shape the music as a team — all important elements of chamber music. Most of all, we want this arrangement to help you enjoy the music, practice with inspiration, and grow as a violinist through making music with others. Sheet Music Included: - Full score for Violin 1 & Violin 2 - Separate Violin 1 part - Separate Violin 2 part -SHIVA fingerings, bowings and musical markings - Downloadable PDF format And this is only the beginning. As part of the SHIVA Sheet Music Academy, this course will continue to grow. We plan to add practice ideas, technical tips, musical advice, video demonstrations and other learning resources to help you study and enjoy this concerto. Our goal is not simply to give you sheet music and leave you to practise alone. We want to explore the music together with you — helping you understand it, practise it, listen more deeply and enjoy becoming a better musician. As part of the SHIVA Sheet Music Academy, we want to offer you more than just sheet music. Our goal is to help you explore music, develop your listening skills and experience the joy of playing together. We believe that making music with others is one of the most valuable ways to learn and grow as a musician. Play together. Listen together. Learn together. Enjoy the music.
